Back in 2022, we designed a new headquarters for a global pharmaceutical company in Zurich’s “Circle” complex. Om May 22nd, a further site is opening near Lucerne railway station, where up to 850 employees – who were previously spread across three branches in the surrounding area – will be able to work in a 15,000 m² space.

The new workspaces offer attractive features for staff in many areas. The six floors are arranged around an open atrium. The spacious areas provide a wide range of collaboration and meeting spaces, as well as workspaces to suit a variety of needs – from bookable private offices to workspaces right by the balcony railing. A view of the green surroundings is provided not only by the numerous indoor plants, but also by the roof terrace with its panoramic views of the lake and mountains.

For sustainability reasons, the client requested that as much furniture as possible from the existing sites be transferred to the new office. To integrate this into the new design, we carefully analysed the existing stock and allocated the individual items to the appropriate locations.
