Wein & Wahrheit is a new shop presence from established wine producer Höchst, which has opened in the extension to the Main-Taunus Zentrum in Frankfurt. The shop presents a selection of over 600 wines, sparkling wines and spirits, delicatessen items and gifts on an area of 80 m². Our studio developed the store design as well as the store name and visual identity. The name Wein & Wahrheit (Wine & Truth) underscores the honest advice you will receive, and refers to a quote attributed to the Roman historian Tacitus, who described how the Germanic people always drank wine at council meetings because they believed that nobody could lie effectively when drunk. The logo of Wein & Wahrheit unites a simple monogram and a graphic allusion to the glass body suspended from the shop ceiling that resembles a bunch of grapes. Complemented by elegant and simple typography, the visual identity addresses a target group that places particular value on quality when making its purchasing decisions.
