The Mövenpick chain has extended its gastronomic range at Dusseldorf Airport with the “San Pino”, which serves fine Italian cuisine airside. With variable seating arrangements, passengers hurrying for the last call get served quick, while guests with longer waiting times get to relax. The high standard of cuisine is reflected in the quality fit-out of the space, with limestone floors, countertops clad in natural stone, high grade designer chairs and leather upholstered seating nooks. The space is divided into zones with spatial filters and hanging ceiling elements. The individual ceiling sections pick up on the highly ornamental lamellar structure of the filters, with variations in different patterns.
