Located in the Metropol building, this sophisticated Italian restaurant captivates with its interior design which boasts dark wood, high walls and an extensive glass frontage. Cinema-goers, shopaholics and Stuttgarters of all stripes enjoy the compelling view through the window as guests enjoy fine food and wine inside. The bar is still the focal point of the location, however the culinary hotspot is a huge vitrine full of appetisers which guests can choose for themselves: ham, salami, cheese, olives, marinated vegetables, artichokes, scampi, squid. All delicious and – naturally – very fresh.
The original interior tended toward the sober and minimalist; large-format images of an Italian pine forest were added as an exciting contrast, without compromising the clarity of the space. The busy city and the calm of the countryside come together. The forest images lend sensuality and depth to the redesigned restaurant. They function as a cohesive, identifying and unmistakable visual feature, from the wall hangings and table settings to menus and the restaurant’s online presence.
