Walter Knoll: imm 2019
—Cologne / 2019
Bauhaus Centenary Year 2019 is a great reason to celebrate for traditional manufacturer Walter Knoll. Back in the 1920s, company founder Walter Knoll consistently strived to align his company as a modernist brand. His innovative ‘Prodomo’ aluminium armchair was precisely in tune with the times. In the prestigious Bauhaus Weißenhofsiedlung model project, Walter Knoll was allowed to furnish no fewer than nine flats, including five designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Reason enough for the Walter Knoll trade fair stand at imm 2019 to be inspired by the iconic visual design idiom of the Bauhaus. Our concept works with basic geometric shapes: circle, triangle, square. From this minimalist canon, we develop playful graphical fields that are displayed in large format across the interior walls and the exterior skin of the stand, and are even humorously quoted in the accessories.
