Large-scale collages applied as adhesive foils to the windows of the front facade pick up Sicilian clichés and symbolic imagery, in part ironically and in a surrealistic manner. These illustrations can also be found both in the fixtures and furnishings and in the wooden slats that serve as holders for the menu cards that vary on a daily basis. The large yellow circle painted centrally on the floor of the cash desk area is picked up in form and colour in, amongst other things, the choice of envelopes for business mail and vouchers, and to highlight special offers in printed matter or special events on the business’ website.
The most beautiful photos by photograph Zooey Braun that by now have been published almost all over the world are available as a postcard edition – a nice memento for guests that at the same time also serves as a recommendation for the restaurant itself. Bella Italia Weine also emphasises these catchy photos on its internet pages. They form the background for the navigation menu (in the true sense of the word) with the lunchtime dishes of the day. The simple, elegant logo lettering conveys class and style. Akzidenz Grotesk Condensed is used in various cuts as the business font. Combined with a classical serif script, it reflects typographically the Italian charm of the restaurant.
